Learn to knit or join this fun group to knit for charity. All levels are welcome.

Prerequisite: Beginner class is required to participate. Self-structured workshops to highlight your projects and receive positive feedback. Note: Please purchase the book “Making Shapely Fiction” by Jerome Stern.

Class Size: 10 Come knit and chat with your fellow colleagues as they work on projects on their own. This is not instructor led, participants work on their own. 

Using color wool roving, we will be needle felting on a base fabric to create fiber paintings. Most supplies will be provided.

This is an INFORMAL OPEN CLAY STUDIO TIME for anyone who wants to work independently on clay skills, finish-up pieces, practice, or work on the potters' wheel, clay sculpture, hand building, and glazing. This Studio is open to former clay students or students presently taking clay classes to help you improve your skills. Class Size: 8

This class is for those participants who have very little to no experience in working with clay. We will explore a variety of techniques to create and finish your art piece. Bring a sketchbook, and pen to each class. Note: if the first week of a five week session is missed participant “will be removed from the class roster.”

Using polymer clay, we will make heads/arms/legs for a fantasy creature, human or humanoid. After baking these in the oven, we will paint the facial features. Apertures will be made for these and then we will clothe them. Sewing is not necessary. Supplies will be provided.

We will cover the fundamentals of oil painting such as color, composition and values as well as the use of tools such as Palette Knives, Brushes and Mediums to create glazes and translucent passages of color. This is a studio class designed for those who are not able to participate in the Painting from Life classes. Bring a sketch book and pen to each class as well as 3 canvases not to exceed 12 x 16 inches. All other materials will be provided.
