Each course meeting will review and discuss a work of literature by a renowned author. The class will consist of a review of the scholarship about the author and his book and a discussion of the book. Our first book will be David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Please read it or as much as possible before our first meeting on January 7. The other books for this quarter are Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackery and The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Class Size: 10

Class size: 10 Get and overview of puppetry as an artform from ancient history to the present. Students will learn performance basics and can create simple versions of five basic puppet types: hand, string, shadow, body and rod. All materials provided.
